Job Opportunities—2008-2010

There has been more and more of a recognized need during these tough economic times for those out of work and seeking jobs. We are working on formalizing a process to connect many seeking employment and those who may know of opportunities. As a courtesy and in hopes some needs can be met, we will post information related to employment and pray some connections can be made.

Truck needed: My wife needs help this Saturday hopefully in the AM around 10am or so for someone with a truck to pick up a drafting table she purchased locally in Mt. Airy and deliver it to Fire House Pottery on Main St. in Mt. Airy. My wife’s name is Annette Stoner and her # is 301-829-1665 at the store and she believes it will take at least 2 men its very heavy and will fit on a mid or full size truck. Thanks, Stephen.

Washington Times: The work involved consist in manning a mini booth of Washington Times in a different location everyday, returning to each location every 10 days. Will sell Washington Times subscriptions and make $15.00/Subscription. It is sold a way below the newspaper stand value. Average of 200 subscriptions/week. Need own transportation and be reliable & responsible. Will be handling cash, checks, cc slips and gift certificates. The booth need to be disassembled everyday to go to the next location the following day.

Locations will be Giant, Safeway, Target, K-Mart and etc. We will try to keep within a 10 miles radius per person.

I am also looking for a warehouse between 800 to 1,000 ft2. If you know anybody that has such property available within Montgomery/Frederick county, let me know.
